Adopt Ordinance on 1^st Reading.

Description of Action

The Ordinance is modeled after a Miami-Dade County Ordinance that was adopted several weeks ago and it is comprehensive in its scope.  A reading of the extensive recitals (“Whereas” clauses) fully express the prohibitions in the Ordinance and the background leading to it.  While it is anticipated that Broward County will be adopting a County-wide ordinance, it is better to act now to protect the interests of the City, its residents and visitors.
